I bought this book an year ago but had never read it till now. I'm glad I did.Nili Regev is a Mossad agent who finds herself in the cross hairs of her own agency after a botched operation in Paris. A mistake of mega proportions is committed and to cover it up, she's swept up in a plot to lie and hide the truth. When a simple call is placed, it turns her world around. She is raped and put in a catatonic state by fellow agents in a bid to keep the secret alive
Eli Negev is a simple ex service man living a predictable life with his wife. When he learns what has happened to his daughter, he becomes enraged and goes on a gripping and fast paced revenge spree. How it ends isn't expected and the twist is bittersweet.
I found this book fairly fast paced though it's short and at times a bit simplistic but overall a good read if you want some okay fiction. The most touching aspect is Eli's drive to protect his daughter at all costs. I give a standing ovation to any father who'd look out for their child that much. Not best seller material, but still entertaining.

This novel is about the lengths to which a father will go for his daughter.
The book is set in present-day Israel. Nili works for the Mossad. Yakov, a senior figure in the Mossad, sets up a meeting with her for the next day. The rumor is that the subject will be about Paris. Reuven, another senior Mossad figure, can't let the meeting take place. Things might be revealed that he would prefer not be revealed.
This one is really good. It's about a father's love for his children, and the things they will do to protect them. It also has plenty of intrigue, and yes, it is very much worth the reader's time.
If you enjoy suspense then this is a must read! When I was done reading it all I could say was "WOW". Multiple times I was shocked throughout the story and couldn't put it down. The chapters are well titled and in some chapters you get the past. I wasn't sure where that was going but without those details the story would not have the impact it did. The description of each character, their thoughts and actions shows their personalities perfectly. Eli is the father that all children should have and is amazing at what he does. I highly recommend this book you will not be disappointed.
I have been fascinated by the Mossad for awhile and was quite pleased when I came across this book based upon the organization. It didn't take long for me to get into the book and it was hard for me to put it down. The writing is put together really well and makes a good use of some, often hard to execute, literary devices. The author is definitely a skilled writer and picked a good topic to base a thriller on. I also especially liked how there was a good job done of mixing the right amount of fiction with some nonfiction elements and it really makes it quite an interested read. I would recommend this for anyone looking for good thriller.
When I picked up "Mossad X" I really felt like reading something fast and engaging, and I must say this novel did not disappoint me. I read it in one sitting, and now I can't wait for the author's next books. He is an incredible storyteller, and he managed to create some very complex and relatable characters. I really liked the main character, Eli, and how he was determined to save his daughter even though that meant putting hmself in great danger.
I also love thrillers that involve conspiracies and powerful organizations, and this one was the first I read about the Israeli Mossad. The author built a fascinating, intriguing plot around this organization, and this turned the novel into a real page-turner.
This novel works on many levels. It's an intimate story of a father who must try to save the life of his daughter. It's a spy tale with intrigue and conspiracy. It's a political novel about the realities of intelligence operations.
Eli is a father who doesn't trust the story about what has happened to his daughter, and it turns out quite a number of people have kept secrets from him. He needs to find out the truth and get his hands on something very unique in order to save his daughter's life.
The novel is a perfect read crossing over many genres. The characters are more fully realized and shown in-depth beyond that the spy genre usually offers. The translation of this Israeli novel is clear and easy to read.
Rotem's debut novel is flooded with emotion and opens readers' eyes to exactly what's happening in our world today. It may not be in our own backyard, but it's quite disturbing to learn that events as significant as these portrayed within arise nonetheless. The author's descriptions are colored so vividly and the characters come to life with each turn of the page. This thrilling book is captivating, riveting and contains a unique storyline that many writers have never thought to venture upon before. We all approach problems, big or small, at one time or another with ease or difficulty, but when others become entangled, it poses complications that could result in a matter of life or death. MossadX is truly a story of survival, and readers will find themselves gripping this book tightly until the very end and find it to be unforgettable
This book is quite different from the run of the mill action adventure. There is plenty of action and you are hooked from page one. Mossad, Israeli spies, kidnappings etc. are all there. But the writing style is different.
The story is told with the style and skill of a storyteller from a century or two ago. The story develops in easy cadence with lots of descriptions so you can get a feel for the setting, the smells, how it is to breathe the fresh morning air on a brilliant day in Haifa.
There is a lot of tell instead of showing. This is normally a no no, specially for action adventure.
There is not a lot of white space on page after page on my kindle fire. But you get used to it. It grows on you.
You could scenify many passages to get a more action oriented story with more white space. But the storytelling style is quite unique, and so is the story. Wow. Try something different. You just might like it.
Highly recommended for the those who like a different action adventure.
